Sean Carpenter is a seasoned artist manager, consultant, and music industry entrepreneur. He has a proven history of collaboration with both prominent figures and emerging talents in the music business.
With a background in Music Industry Studies, Radio, and Television Production, Sean has a well-rounded perspective on the fundamentals of bringing projects to fruition.
Sean began his career at Favored Nations Entertainment, the record label of legendary Multi-Grammy Award-winning guitarist Steve Vai, where he worked in record label management operations and project management for the company, including its digital subsidiary and artist services wing, Digital Nations. During his time there, Carpenter helped facilitate over 50 global releases for artists like Tommy Emmanuel, Steve Vai, and The Yardbirds, and the distribution and marketing of David Lynch’s Transcendental Record label releases.
After Favored Nations was sold to Mascot Records, Sean moved to Nashville to begin working with Steve Schweidel at Clearview Artist Management. There, he worked with a variety of talent across genres like Country, Americana, Bluegrass, and Southern Rock, including several ACM and Grammy-nominated and award-winning artists.
In 2017, Sean joined McGhee Entertainment, where he worked alongside legendary rock stars KISS on their 'End of the Road Tour.' As the managerial role for Vintage Trouble, Carpenter was responsible for all aspects of Vintage Trouble’s career, including touring, special events, marketing, and promotional strategies. Additionally, Sean curated and executed KISS' KISSTORY charity marketing/promo activation endeavor which raised over $500,000+ for dozens of charities all over the world.
After becoming independent during the pandemic, Sean founded Mulholland Management & Consulting, where he now serves as an artist management consultant and music businessman. In 2021, he collaborated with a startup advertising company to create exceptional live concert advertising campaigns that brought in millions of extra dollars for top-tier touring acts worldwide.
Currently, Sean is dedicated to working with emerging talent Maudlin Strangers, who has performed alongside renowned acts like Bad Suns, LANY, and Cold War Kids. Maudlin Strangers is all set for a comeback in 2023, with a series of new releases and a USA tour planned for later in the year. Moreover, Sean is additionally working as a brand manager for an established concert media company, where he is responsible for negotiating concert brand deals with prestigious arena and stadium touring acts, and establishing his tour charity partnership agency, Charity Suite.
